Doctor Who Banner

Richard has appeared in several Doctor Who audio adventures for Big Finish Productions - a literal dream come true for any Doctor Who fan! He has acted alongside many famous names from the 'classic' series, including Frazer Hines and Wendy Padbury, Peter Davison, Janet Fielding and Sarah Sutton, Tom Baker and Louise Jameson.

Doctor Who And The Brain Drain

In May 2024, it was announced that Richard has co-written a story for the Third Doctor Who as played by Tim Treloar. 'Doctor Who and the Brain Drain' features Jon Culshaw as The Brigadier and Daisy Ashford as Liz Shaw. This brand new adventure takes place immediately after the Third Doctor's very first TV adventure and is available to preorder now ahead of its release in February 2025...

'My wife had been editing one of Richard’s books and said to me, he writes beautifully. He also knows his old Doctor Who and has a very clear sense of the Third Doctor era, so I asked him for ideas for Third Doctor stories. He sent this one pitch and it had something about it that I really liked. It felt like Doctor Who, but also like an old-fashioned Sunday afternoon teatime adventure'

Nicholas Briggs, Big Finish

Richard's first experience of working for Big Finish was as Officer Enab in The Isos Network opposite Frazer Hines as the Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon. He went on to play Rembrandt in the Fifth Doctor adventure The Waters Of Amsterdam, Riley in the Eleventh Doctor story The House Of Masks, Sergeant Ballard in The Incherton Incident with Stephen Noonan as the First Doctor and Governor Rogan in Revolution In Space opposite Tim Treloar as the Third Doctor. And, with two Tom Baker stories yet to be released, Richard's travels with the Doctor are not over yet...
